Forrest Timothy Hayes was found dead on November 23, 2013, but they just now arrested woman. Didn't find where this had been posted. Evidently, the yacht had cameras on it and after a court order, they got the videos. Seems she purposefully injected him with an overdose.... ugh, feel really sorry for his family too, wife of 17 years and kids.

Alix Catherine Tichelman and 51-year-old Forrest Timothy Hayes found each other online and had met a few times before their Nov. 26 encounter on Hayes' 50-foot yacht, Escape, at the Santa Cruz Small Craft Harbor, said Santa Cruz Deputy Police Chief Steve Clark.
Tichelman provided heroin for Hayes, a Google executive, while they were inside the yacht, police said. A surveillance video from the boat shows that Hayes was "suffering medical complications" and lost consciousness, Clark said. She made no effort to help him, and instead gathered her belongings and even gulped a glass of wine before she drew a window blind and left, the video shows.

Hayes was discovered dead the next morning by the boat's captain, police said.
"She showed no regard for him. She was just trying to cover her tracks," Clark said Tuesday.

Eventually, Santa Cruz police obtained a judge's order to get the video recordings, which were stored on a cloud server, authorities said. The images helped them identify Tichelman, Clark said.

By then, Tichelman was living in Folsom. Santa Cruz police learned of another similar death outside California that Tichelman allegedly was involved with, which further piqued investigators' interest, Clark said. She has not been charged in that case, and authorities declined to say where it was.

And wow.. yes, his poor family.

What a cold person she is - and if she's done it before is she another Wuornos maybe?
 
I was just about to post on this. First heard about it on the news last night and then it was being discussed on talk radio this morning, about his Nov obit saying he was a family man. But when the obit was written in Jan, his family probably did not know all the circumstances about his death.
 
She didn't look like a $1k/night call girl. And according to this article, the other death happened later, after the Santa Cruz overdose.

"Ms. Tichleman was identified as a suspect in the case after it was learned that she had an ongoing prostitution relationship with the victim," Deputy Police Chief Steve Clark said. "Ms. Tichleman works as a high-priced outcall prostitute and meets her clients through a website Seeking Arrangements. During interviews, Ms. Tichleman boasted of over 200 client relationships."


Clients paid Tichleman more than $1,000. Detectives said they obtained text messages and emails exchanged between Tichleman and her clients, including Hayes.

Her main facebook page was wide open a few hours ago. It has since been removed. She does have a modeling page that is still up.

She is originally from the Atlanta area. According to both facebook pages, she used to date Dean Riopelle. There are pictures of them together on the above facebook page and she states he was her boyfriend.

Dean Riopelle owned the Masquerade music venue here in Atlanta. I didn't know Dean personally, but knew him enough to recognize him from attending events at the venue. Dean passed away last year, as well. I have no idea if this is the additional case LE is investigating, but it makes me wonder. IMOO!

Thanks for the additional info. Dean is the boyfriend with the monkeys when life was going good for her. He died in Sept but that other article that said the guy died after Nov could be wrong. When I first read the original article I thought the other guy died before the Santa Cruz victim.

One article said she came from an upper-middle class family from Georgia. I've found addresses for her in Duluth and Alpharetta Georgia. I wonder how long she was in California and why she was living in Folsom. 2 or 3 nights work for her and she would be able to have an apartment in SF or Silicon Valley.

ETA a close family member is a CEO (named in 2012) for a company in Folsom. Gets more interesting.

Weirder and maybe weirder... is that relative a poker play competitor?
 
Well the Sacramento Bee (Folsom is near Sac) published the relative's name. And I read elsewhere that he is an amateur poker player.

Tichelman apparently has a connection to the tech industry herself. According to public records, an online profile and an obituary, she appears to be the daughter of Bart Tichelman, president and chief executive officer of SynapSense, a Folsom company founded with UC Davis technology that creates “smart building” devices for controlling heating and cooling systems. SynapSense was sold earlier this year to an Illinois company, Panduit, with Tichelman remaining in charge. He has spent 30 years in the tech industry and came to Folsom in 2012 from a startup in Atlanta.

She was arrested on suspicion of murder, but Santa Cruz County prosecutors accused her of the lesser charge of manslaughter, along with counts of transporting drugs and destroying evidence. She made her first court appearance Wednesday and was being held on $1.5 million bail.

Tichelman is scheduled to return to court June 16 for arraignment, said Assistant District Attorney Rafael Vazquez.
 
The KPIX News video posted on the SacBee article says she herself is a heroin addict.
 
I don't think she made a secret of her addiction, there's a poem about it on her modelling FB page. Lots of sadness behind all the make-up and chirping about her bf, etc.

I wonder how she ended up so broken.

The vast majority of heroin addicts I have known came from (past tense, most are dead now) comfortable middle class homes with two parents. Several were from homes where the parents were 'respected members of the community', pastors, business people..

I used to hate them a little bit for wasting themselves, wasting all that opportunity they were born into. If they'd suffered abuse, I could understand that. But most hadn't. I felt terrible for their parents.
 
Tichelman was arrested by Milton, Georgia police for biting her then-boyfriend, 53-year-old Dean Riopelle. Riopelle, who lived in Milton, owned the Masquarade, an Atlanta music venue.

Just about two weeks after Tichelman was arrested for biting Riopelle, Riopelle died. His obituary doesn’t mention how he died, but there are reports from a local entertainment website that it was from an apparent heart attack.

He was married with five children: including daughters ages 25, 22 and 11, and twin 3-year-olds, a boy and a girl, according to court documents filed in February. Hayes died without a will. The probate document list a Porsche, Mercedes, Toyota Sienna, Ford Expedition, Chevrolet Volt, Google stock and other assets that were community property of his wife, Denise Hayes. The family bought their Westlake house, complete with ocean views, a pool and five bedrooms, for $3 million in 2011.
