OH - Brian Martin, 52, Toledo, 22 June 2014
Robert and Desirae Strauss, both 36, are being held in an Indiana jail awaiting an extradition hearing that will send them to Ohio to face murder charges in the death of Martin. Martin had been in a relationship with Desirae Strauss for about three years, said Toledo police Sgt. Joseph Heffernan.
The Strausses were recently arrested in Anderson, Indiana while driving Martin's gold 2002 Cadillac Seville, Heffernan said...
Martin was last seen coaching a softball game in Holland, Ohio, on June 22. His debit card was used on the same day at a Del Taco in Toledo. He was due in Louisville, Ky., later that day, but never showed up.
Though his body remains missing, Brian Martin is dead, police say.
He was bludgeoned, allegedly by a woman with whom he was romantically involved and that woman’s husband. Police searched through the couple’s East Toledo apartment, ripped through their trash, questioned their neighbors but, still, no Mr. Martin.
“Our best information right now is leading us to believe that his body may be in some type of barn or shed-type of structure,” said police Sgt. Joe Heffernan. “We're asking everybody from Toledo to Anderson, [Ind.], if you have a barn or some type of shed or something like that on your property, take a look.”
