Bystanders Break Window to Free KidS from Hot Car, tdy in Houston TX area

Title pretty much says it all, except - mom left them (plural) in the dark Jeep, while she went for haircut.
Oh, mom asked bystanders/rescuers NOT to CALL LE.
And they did not.

Appears someone recorded video and posted.
If kids ages were given, I missed it.
Short vid clip and story at link.

Hoping that Mom learned something from this; she might have learned more if bystanders had called LE.
Thankful that ppl passing by noticed the kids and took action.

Some 2012 news I don't recall seeing back then.

In 2012, mom Kim Brooks left her 4 y/o son in car,
50 deg.F, 5 min errand, w car parked close to store's front door. No harm to child.
Passerby took pix w cellphone, provided to LE, who contacted mom.
Mom was charged w contrib to delinq. of minor, did 100 hrs of comm service, etc.

There is a LOT of incorrect information in this story....(Jezebel doesn't really qualify as msm by the way) however these articles explain the truth....the mom did NOT go for a haircut....she took kids into a postal store for an errand. When she was re-loading them into the car the doors accidentally shut and locked. She ran back inside to ask for help and a postal store employee got a hammer to break the window out. The MOM crawled through the window to get the keys and unlock the child locks on the door. The whole incident was less than 5 minutes in length.

I just wanted to tell everyone that you don't need a hammer...the best quickest thing to use to break it is a car antenna. Hold one end on the glass and pull back on the other end...hard....then let it go. The spring back easily breaks the glass.
