A woman in Maryland due for sentencing on forgery charges, avoided the hearing. By presenting a forged doctor's sicknote.
Shannon Lee, 'used a fake doctors note to explain why she missed sentencing on forgery and burglary charges in Prince Georges County, prosecutors said.
Accused of renting out foreclosed homes she didn't own, Shannon Lee pleaded guilty, but she didnt show up for sentencing July 11, claiming she was sick.'
The doctors listed hadn't worked at the hospital for two years, and it wasn't even the correct paperwork for that hospital. Lee's listed address, meanwhile, turned out to be a UPS store.
Her sentencing's been rescheduled for August.
