Defence lawyer Terry O'Gorman quoted as saying "I am not going to sit idly by and see in the O'Dempsey case a repeat of the police prejudicial media tactics which reached its heights in the Baden-Clay case and continued with the recent Tostee murder arrest".

    What does he mean?

    Friday 28th July 2017

Strive to Be Kind Day (in memory of Allison Baden-Clay) will be held on Friday, July 28th 2017. This yearís day is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year as we will once again join with schools, community groups and workplaces to remember Allison and her kindness. She was a very generous and loving soul who always put others before herself.

In its fifth year, Strive to Be Kind day was initially introduced in 2012 so that the community could join together to show each other a little more kindness. Respect, kindness and paying it forward are all things that we need more of and we encourage young people to spend the day, weeks or months, doing random acts of kindness.

    Scholarship in Allison Baden-Clay's memory

A scholarship for ballet students has been set up in the memory of slain Brisbane mother Allison Baden-Clay.

The $5000 scholarship will be awarded for the next three years to support a Year 12 student attending the Queensland Ballet academy's senior program.
Queensland Premier and Arts Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the scholarship on Strive to be Kind Day on Friday, set up to remember Allison and raise awareness of domestic and family violence.
"We had a discussion with the family about what would be the best way to honour Allison's legacy and we decided this would be the best way forward," Ms Palaszczuk said
The premier said she actually met Allison while they were both studying ballet as children.
Allison's parents Geoff and Priscilla Dickie attended the launch of the scholarship, and agreed Allison would have been thrilled.
"She was a very good dancer and she loved that studio and she really enjoyed the dance classes, and I suppose the premier did too," Geoff Dickie said.

    Allison's roadside memorial

ALLISON Baden-Clay's parents say they are appalled a roadside memorial for the murdered Brookfield mother has been vandalised.

A metal plaque commemorating Ms Baden-Clay's life was prised from a sandstone memorial at the site where her body was found.
