Two hikers found the skeletal remains about a quarter of a mile from the Marshall Gulch picnic area and called 911 just before 5 p.m., said Deputy Tracy Suitt, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

The Marshall Gulch area is on the upper slopes of Mount Lemmon.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a person whose skeletal remains were found by hikers on Mt. Lemmon on Wednesday, July 30...

Nanos said there was no evidence of foul play. The cause of death and identification is pending a forensic examination.

I tried to find a corresponding Namus record for this UID, but nothing shows up for this date in Pima County. It seems like either this individual was not entered into Namus (which seems unlikely?), or they were identified sometime between 2014 and now. I’m not finding any updated articles that say that, though..not much information out there.
