On Thursday 18 October 1984, Stella Farrugia, then aged 18 years, was reported missing by her boyfriend. He said that he last saw her at her home address on Seaview Road, Henley Beach the day before, on Wednesday 17 October 1984.

Stella’s disappearance remains unsolved and her current whereabouts are unknown.

Police suspect she has been murdered.

Police reveal chilling twist in cold case of missing SA teen
April 28 2019
"SA Police have shed new light on the 1984 disappearance of outgoing teenager Stella Farrugia, saying she may have been murdered, as they offer a $200,000 reward for information.

After vanishing from her home in Adelaide's west 35 years ago, her family received irregular phone calls in which the caller never spoke.

It was initially believed the 18-year-old had "simply taken off", spurred on by the fact she had written to her sister suggesting she would cut off all ties, but SA Police now fear she may have been murdered."

Ms Farrugia, who was raised in Victoria, unexpectedly moved to Queensland in 1983 amid tensions with her family arising from their traditional Maltese origins, which was often in conflict with those of wider Australia.

In Queensland, she got into a relationship and moved to an Adelaide Hills property in 1984.

After that relationship fell apart, she met Wojciech Kubale, who reported her missing in October that year."
"Rewards up to $200,000 are being offered to anyone who provides information and assistance that leads to the conviction of those responsible for the suspected murder of Stella Farrugia, or leading to the location and recovery of the victim’s remains.

Anyone with information in this case is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers South Australia on 1800 333 000 or use the online reporting page."
