A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck the northern tip of Hawaii's Big Island on Thursday as the state prepares for two hurricanes.

The quake hit at a depth of 7.9 miles and was reported about 7 miles from Waimea, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

Hawaiians, meanwhile, are preparing for a potentially devastating one-two tropical cyclone punch, starting with Hurricane Iselle, which in a rarity for the state could make direct landfall Thursday evening...
