In his first interview with police, on March 16, Andrew Becker was visibly intoxicated and had ligature marks around his neck, documents state. Police said Becker had attempted to hang himself in his room early that morning after finding Liliana unresponsive.

An autopsy revealed that Liliana's blood alcohol level was .04 percent and that the alcohol level of her stomach contents was .24 percent, charging documents state. Carolyn Becker told police that the abrasions and contusions on Liliana's head and neck had not been there the night before

After a Monday preliminary hearing, Senior District Judge Margaret Bria determined that there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial.

After hearing from Lily's mother, Christina Lunsford, and the baby's grandfather, Dr. John Lunsford... Bortner sentenced Becker to two to four years in state prison, with credit for time served, for the involuntary manslaughter conviction.

He sentenced Becker to a consecutive three years of probation for endangering the welfare of a child.
