A suspected burglar caused chaos for London Commuters after hiding up a tree for 16 hours. In abysmal weather.

I'm not sure exactly how that affected London trains, but I can tell you from experience that anything from fallen leaves to a snowflake can create havoc on England's train tracks.

He probably just figured being in jail was preferable to being exposed to the English 'summer' climate, and climbed down. :)

' "Clearly while this person remains in the tree, which overhangs the line, it wouldn't be safe for us to run our trains in the area and so we've been diverting trains via Bexleyheath this morning. '

"We've also arranged for tickets to be accepted on alternative means of transport, including the Docklands Light Railway and local buses. '
:) :)

Sorry for laughing, but English LE are just so funny sometimes with the way they word things!

...I wish we all could be Californians, I wish...

ETA: Just look at how he's dressed for an English 'summer'!
