Drunk French judge mistakes police car for cab, bites, kicks officer in crotch

A drunken French judge (or magistrate as they're known) with kids aged 7, 8, and 10 in tow, has mistaken a police car for a taxi and when it refused to drive him to his destination declared:

"I am a deputy presiding judge, take me home!"

He then:

'...struck one officer in the crotch...The judge then tried to bite one of the gendarmes.(police) After being arrested and hauled off to the police station, the magistrate tried to bite another two officers.'

I've checked out the French articles, and it appears to be completely true. A drunken, vacationing judge from the North of France, with his 3 kids in tow, mistook a police vehicle in beautiful Montpellier, in the South of France for a cab, and demanded a ride back to his vacation home. When he was told to take a hike, he started biting, and kicking where he shouldn't have. Amazingly, French privacy rules mean he's not being named.

I've said it before and I've said it again; the French may sometimes criticicize other nations, but that's nothing compared to the mini-warfare forever raging between the north and the south - and especially, against anyone from Paris!

Can anyone IMAGINE if that happened in LA or somewhere? Judge just allowed to go about his business anonymously, until or unless his case came to trial?
