She sounds like a lovely free spirit. There may have been a spotting of her on Saturday the 23rd in Toronto where she was asking people on the street for money in order to get to Ottawa to see her family. May she be found safe and soon. The possible mental health issues are concerning.

Kit has a son, elderly parents in Ottawa, a job and a cat- everyone must be terribly worried for her safety, hope she is okay, the world can be a harsh place for free spirits....

"She probably hungry, confused and dehydrated," Jennifer Currie told host Matt Galloway. "Kit's never been missing before, she's a devoted mother and artist. She has a cat that she adores and would never not feed."

    'She's not functioning mentally'

Jennifer Currie says she suspects Kit is suffering from some kind of paranoia that may be causing her to hide, possibly in the wooded areas at the north end of the Don Valley such as Serena Gundy Park or Sunnybrook Park.

"She's not functioning mentally," said Jennifer Currie. "She's quite resourceful in the woods. She would feel very safe there."

A Facebook page created to help find Kit reports that she was possibly spotted on Aug. 23 in the area of Bayview Avenue, just south of Eglinton Avenue East. Friends and family have also started a website and a poster campaign in an effort to find her.

The family is also asking cyclists to search the city for Kit and have offered a $1,000 reward for finding her"

    Bumping for "Kit"

According to twitter account, there is a possibility that she may be in Ottawa area, so please keep your eyes open for her there too!
Just a thought, would Catherine try to bike in that direction?

“We love her and we just want to bring her home,” Jennifer Currie-Roy said Wednesday of her younger sister.

She and her parents live in Ottawa and have been extremely concerned about Currie since learning the avid cyclist disappeared Aug. 14 around 11 p.m. from her home near Dufferin and Bloor Sts.

“I know she would never choose to put us through this,” Currie-Roy said, adding she believes her sister is in the midst of a mental health crisis even though she has no history of such troubles.

She said Currie seemed “fine” when she visited her family in the nation’s capital in July".
