Are the fish keeping you up at night? Fla.
University of South Florida researches say they have finally identified the source of a thumping noise that has confounded Cape Coral residents for decades. It's the mating call of a fish.
Residents say the noises thump like a heartbeat, or the bass from a passing car stereo. People living near canals and lakes say it sometimes keeps them up at night.
