Darwin prisoners suspected of breaking into jail

Prisoners in Darwin are suspected of breaking into prison after breaking out, to go and get drunk.

'A group of prisoners suspected of breaking out of Darwin's Berrimah Prison, before getting drunk and scaling a fence to return, will be required to attend court to face possible charges of escaping custody.

Police have been investigating allegations that four prisoners were in their rooms drunk and fighting over a mobile phone on July 20 but so far none of the prisoners involved have been charged with any crime.'

Three are due in court October 15th.

3 due in court < 4 drunk prisoners

So, where did they get the mobile phone AND how many prisoners went AWOL? Did the AWOL group return with anything other than a mobile phone (such as alcohol)?

Never mind .... I just read the rest of the article. Darwin Awards all around!!!
