Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

I love Elkhart, and the Amish who live there. Lots of flat land and fields. I wonder if they know what she bought at the store. Not much on her story.

I wonder how she got to Kroger? IF she was even there. Hard to read between the grammar arguers, and the arguing.

Community members say in recent weeks several Hispanic women have reported being approached by individuals while out grocery shopping, though they don't know if Reyes' disappearance is connected.

"We do have serious concerns because there have been numerous complaints recently of Hispanic women going to shop at Hispanic grocery stores and being accosted by individuals and being harassed and followed," said attorney Felipe Merino.

Did nobody report a burning vehicle? Was there any warning at all by LE regarding these reports made by other women?

"We've had reports that there have been other Latino women that have been accosted at other Mexican markets while doing their grocery shopping for the day," said Merino

He fears that undocumented Latino women are especially vulnerable to attack. That's because they don't understand English very well, if at all, and they often won't ask for help for fear of being deported.

Still no answers in the missing person's case of Anastasia Reyes-Cortez. Police suspected foul play was involved in her disappearance when they found her burned-out van in Wakarusa. They say they're still getting tips, but they haven't found anything new. That van was first discovered by a search party comprised of her family and friends.

About 50 or so neighbors, friends and concerned community members (mostly undocumented Latino immigrants) start the searches at the spot where they found the burned van. From there they search nearby rivers, parks, dumpsters and under bridges...

"I have faith that she is still alive," said her husband Reveriano Ortega. "But all the same, we're looking for whatever is left."
