TN - Kristie Baugus Moon, 26, Parsons, 27 October 1999

    http://www.wsmv.com/story/15653415/s...12-years-later

Baugus was reportedly last seen with her boyfriend who was shot and killed by a Parson's police officer less than a month after she vanished. Authorities said Michael Pearcy shot at an officer during a routine traffic stop in November of 1999 and died after that officer's partner returned fire.

At the time, Pearcy was wanted for questioning in both the death of a Decaturville tow boat worker and the disappearance of a woman. We don't know at this time if that woman was Baugus.

Channel 4 asked the current Decatur County Sheriff if Pearcy was ever a suspect in Baugus' disappearance, but he was not able to provide those details of the case. The sheriff says while Baugus' case has now gone cold, it's not closed. If someone comes forward with new leads, he says they'll look into it.

Discovery of Holly Bobo's skull sparked hope for another family

Kayla Hatley couldn't sleep Sunday night.

She watched the evening news about human remains found in Decatur County early Sunday. She heard the speculation about whether the remains were those of Holly Bobo.

But Hatley stayed awake wondering something else: Maybe someone had found the remains of her mother.

Kayla is the splitting image of her mother. This video is from the Jackson Sun on the same topic. http://youtu.be/Doq3KypxtUg

I read elsewhere the suspect in KM's disappearance (who was killed) was related to two of the suspects in HB's disappearance. Crazy...

...Wyatt and his partner stopped a car driven by Michael Pearcy who was wanted for questioning by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. After Pearcy allegedly opened fire on Wyatt, the officer's partner returned fire, killing the suspect.

Praying for Kristie and her family. I believe Mark Pearcy should have been and still should be interrogated about this poor girl's disappearance. Michael is dead and cannot be questioned but Mark is not. I always heard they hung tightly together. That's what leads me to believe whatever Michael did or knew Mark does as well. I wish they would just check it out!

Apparently nothing more on Kristie either. I'm assuming LE has not followed up by questioning Mark Pearcy. If I heard right her purse was in Michael Pearcy's truck the night he opened fire on of LE in Parsons. And it was rumored that he (Michael) had once said if you wanted to get rid of a dead body all you have to do is feed it to the hogs and there will be no evidence left. I'm afraid that might have been what happened. So sad... after all this time LE has just forgotten about her.

Can anyone confirm the correct spelling for Kristie/Christy? I've seen it spelled both ways.

Without a doubt, this case has flown under the radar for far too long. Paragraph 6 here on gives you an idea of who her immediate relatives were/are. http://www.tnyesterday.com/books/younger/y14-54.html

Just reading other forums with discussion involving these individuals, it becomes apparent that there was certainly a lot going on with whom these people were associating with. Isn't it convenient that Christy's BF his shot and killed by police and that his dad is a suspect in Holly Bobo's disappearance?? How about the fact that another relative was gunned down in his driveway? It's frightening just how many murders happened in this town and it's surrounding community.

People know things here and are remaining quiet for a reason.

I think the correct spelling is Kristie. Her boyfriend at the time(Michael) and Mark are cousins. I keep saying LE should question Mark. Mark and Michael ran very tightly together. IMO Mark knows something about her disappearance and or disposal of the body. I hate to put it that way but that is MVHO. They already have Mark in custody accused of kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo. I know for a fact Michael was known to be abusive. I know this because years ago I had to help a friend get away from him. Which was not easy. I guess that is what keeps me drawn to this case. That could have just as easily been my friend who went missing. And it breaks my heart there was never a high profile search for Kristie as in the Bobo case. I want to scream "question Mark about Kristie!" No one seems to be listening or even care. That is MVHO.

    I hear you.

Another person that needs to be fully vetted through is HT. To me, she's a prime suspect in all of this.

I went to the link you shared... interesting. I didn't know much about Kristie's family mainly because of lack of publicity. HT... wondering if that would be one of the sisters? And if so, what would have been the motive in your opinion? I've just always felt so sure it was her boyfriend I didn't look for any other suspects in my sleuthing.
