When Nicole Kasinskas returned home, she had trouble getting into the kitchen. The door would not open all the way. Her mother's body was blocking it.

The kitchen door was ajar "because she was right there," Kasinskas testified Thursday. "At first, I only saw her left foot."

Kasinskas, 18, was testifying for the second day in Hillsborough County Superior Court in the trial of her boyfriend, William Sullivan of Willimantic, Conn. Sullivan, 20, is accused of fatally beating and stabbing Kasinskas' mother, Jeanne Dominico, on Aug. 6, 2003.

Kasinskas has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for her testimony.

A 24-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his girlfriend's mother because she refused to let the couple live together...

Sullivan got the same sentence four years ago for fatally beating Jeanne Dominico in Nashua in 2003, but he won a new trial. The former Willimantic, Conn., resident also got 15 to 30 years for conspiring with Dominico's daughter, Nicole Kasinskas. She is serving 35 years to life in a plea agreement.
