The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is issuing an Endangered/Missing Children Alert for four children. They are identified as:

Five-year-old Jackelyn Belinda Gomez-Coronada, she is described as a Hispanic female with long black hair and black eyes.
One-year-old Mendy Coria-Coronado, who is described as a Hispanic female with short black hair and black eyes.
Two-year-old Evelin Fernanda Coria-Coronado, who is described as a Hispanic female with long black hair and black eyes and
Six-year-old Kimberly Elizabeth Gomez-Coronado who is described as a Hispanic female with long black hair and black eyes.

They may be accompanied by their step-father and mother who are identified as 24-year-old Fernando Coria-Pelay and 28-year-old Sonia Elisabeth Coronado, who are also Hispanic.

If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of these children or their parents, contact Investigator Eilarene Walker with the Canton Police Department at 601-859-2121.

ETA: could someone add the photos. I'm all thumbs and don't want to blow margins. Thanks.

I haven't heard another word about these babies.

"Sometime around Sept. 7, the children and their mother ended up missing," Canton Police Department Assistant Chief Juan Cloy said.

.
.
.
Police said Coronado and her husband took the children and vanished. They said their stepfather, Fernando Pelay, is a wanted man.

"He's a suspect in a major child abuse case regarding these children, and he has a no-contact order against them, so he's not supposed to be in contact with these children at all," Cloy said.

Link also contains a video which shows a photo of the mother.

Tomorrow marks one week since these kids were last seen. :(

I hope these poor children will be returned safe and put in the hands of someone who will love and care for them and keep them safe.

Really not ready to accept another group of adorable siblings being killed by their parent/s. Please bring these babies home safe.

UGH! Seriously parents need a shake. I don't want to follow this, but will. But my heart doesn't want to :tantrum:

From the above link:

Authorities said the Mississippi Department of Human Service had custody of the children, and Coronado had visitation rights.

Step dad is wanted for serious child abuse against these kids. Why didn't the state require supervised visitation?

Do they believe mom is in danger or that she went willingly?

I hope they are found safe and soon.

It looks like he had child abuse charges brought against him in July.

There is also one for May with a variation of the same name.

Explanation for why no Amber Alert was issued.
Although the girls were last seen on September 7, they were not reported missing to Canton Police until Friday, September 12. The Department of Human Services made the report. Chief Cloy says, had police been notified sooner, an Amber Alert could have been issued. Because of the amount of time that has passed, this case no longer meets the requirements

Why did it take so long to report them missing? We're they all in the same foster home?

I'm afraid the mother is slap-dab in the middle of this (not a victim), but I hope that somewhere deep down she has some inkling of mother love in her and that will rise up and help her to keep the children protected.

News Channel 12 has learned Sunday, 28-year-old Sonia Elisabeth Coronado, the mother of these four missing girls, was previously indicted on two counts of felony child neglect.

It looks like her charges for neglect were at the same time as her husband's arrest for abuse.

The Mississippi Department of Human Service had custody of the children. Cloy said it is his understanding the children were removed from Coronado's custody, but had been returned to her on a trial basis. DHS monitored the home, but the children were actually living in the home with Coronado when they went missing...

Coria-Pelay has apparently been living in Canton since 2008. Cloy said he was unsure how long Coronado had been in Canton. He said the children's biological father is also living in Canton.

DHS is worthless. Giving children back to the abusers is negligence. Releasing statements that DHS wont comment is infuriating. Start holding these people accountable for their decisions, along with moms who choose bf's over their children. :(

“We want to get him away from the children,” Cloy said of the stepfather...

“Our main concern is finding out where these four children are and they just happen to be four females,” Cloy told Mississippi News Now. “Although we do want the father and mother in custody, we really need to find out where these children are.”

I haven't seen any allegations of sexual abuse so far, but "they just happen to be four females" has me wondering about it now.
