What do people think of John Brennan Crutchley as a suspect in this case?

Crutchley, the so-called "Vampire Rapist," was suspected by the FBI of being a serial killer. Wherever he went, young women disappeared but the only crime he was ever convicted of was a gruesome sexual assault in Florida wherein he nearly exsanguinated his victim before letting her go.

His connection to the Lyons sisters is circumstantial - Crutchley was living in Fairfax County, VA at the time of their probable abduction and had roots in Montgomery County, MD. (His wife had family there.)

At this point i think all of us here are zeroed in on Lloyd Welch (and family).

Clearly. But in the event that Welch turns out to be a dead end, it's probably not a bad idea to take an objective look at the guy that Robert Ressler believed was responsible.

LE is saying they know who is responsible.
