GUILTY TX - Aide Fink, 50, murdered in her Flower Mound home, 25 Sept 2014

Daniel Fink was arrested on a murder charge Thursday after he allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife, Aide Fink, in the 3300 block of Heather Glen Drive, according to Flower Mound police Capt. Richard Brooks. Brooks said the couple’s 16-year-old son called 911 early Thursday to report a shooting that had just occurred in their home after midnight.

Aide Fink, 50, was found with multiple gunshot wounds when police arrived at 12:20 a.m., officials said. She was treated at the scene before being transported to Medical Center of Lewisville, where she later died, Brooks said during a telephone interview Thursday.

Aide Fink had filed for divorce Aug. 4, according to Denton County court records. Daniel Fink filed a counter petition and/or claim with the court Wednesday, the records show.

Capt. Richard Brooks said Daniel Fink does not currently live in the home but lives in a hotel outside of Flower Mound...

Brooks said there had been previous calls at the address, but he said there were no charges or criminal offenses. According to Denton County records, Daniel Fink and Aide Fink were scheduled for a divorce hearing Thursday.

According to the police report, Daniel Fink works for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) section of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

A 15-year veteran with US Customs & Border Protection, Daniel Fink said Dallas and Addison Airport were his first choices when he transferred this past summer from the preclearance station in Montreal, Canada, where he was stationed for five years. “We wanted to come back to Texas,” he said, adding that he and his wife have three kids, two boys and a girl, ages 14, 9, and 6. “We bought a house and are going to stay for the long haul.”

Daniel Efrem Fink pleaded guilty to murdering his estranged wife, a Flower Mound resident, and was sentenced to 50 years in prison May 28...

Daniel Fink will have to serve 25 years before he is eligible for parole.
