TN - Angela Beverly, 39, fatally shot at her Kodak home, 24 Sept 2014
Andrew Beverly, 45, is charged with first degree murder of his wife who detectives identified Thursday as Angela Beverly, 39.
Andrew Beverly was supposed to be in court Wednesday for an arraignment for an August 8 charge of domestic assault against his wife. Instead, he went to the home of his wife on Eagle View in Kodak where officers say he shot her in the driveway. It was a home deputies had visited in the past for domestic violence...
The 39-year-old had just graduated from South College last May with a degree in criminal justice. It appears the current justice system failed her.

According to the warrant charging Andrew Beverly with first-degree murder, Dial said Angela Beverly had gone outside to take out the garbage at around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, when she encountered her husband for the last time.
“A physical altercation took place, Angela screamed or help, (Dial) exited the residence and witnessed the defendant... holding Angela Beverly around her shoulders and then witnessed Andrew Bernard Beverly shoot angela Angela Carol Beverly with what he described as a small black firearm,” according to the warrant.
Talking to Van Wolfe, the executive director of SafeSpace — our local refuge for women, and men, affected by domestic violence — my horror only grew.
"She did everything right," Wolfe said of Angela Beverly, 39, who died in front of her home after suffering a gunshot wound Wednesday. "This victim called law enforcement, this victim filed a... warrant... this victim filed for divorce, this victim filed for an order of protection, this victim was trying to get out."
But sometimes, even doing everything right isn't enough.

Wow. I followed the Websleuths link under, "Similar threads" to find this one and all I can say is, "Wow."
She did everything right and she still was murdered by the very man that was suppose to love her. After reading enough of these stories I begin to wonder if there isn't some sort of chemical imbalance that takes place under stress and these murderers just lose it.
I don't know.Help stop domestic violence! I support:
This post is my opinion.

Jury convicts Beverly on all counts
After deliberating all morning Friday, a local jury decided that Andrew Beverly acted with premeditation when he killed his wife nearly two yeas ago outside the Kodak house they once shared, and that he was there to kill the man who was staying with her as well.
The panel of six men and six women took just a few minutes to sentence him to life with parole, meaning the 47-year-old won't be eligible for parole for 51 years.
The jury started deliberations Thursday, but didn't reach a verdict before breaking in the evening. Friday morning, they reviewed videos that had been presented during the trial and then returned to deliberate for several more hours. They then found Beverly guilty of all the charges they were considering -- first-degree murder, felony murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm during a felony. The murder charges, which carry the same sentence, will be merged.
