Kittson County Sheriff Kenny Hultgren says investigation remains active into the disappearance of a Lake Bronson woman a year ago Thursday even though the case has run out of leads.
Dawn Carlson was 43 when she was last seen in her car in Karlstad, about 20 miles from her home. The sheriff says they haven't ruled out foul play but he says Carlson may have had some impairment from late term effects of Lyme disease.

"Now that hunting season is approaching, we ask that hunters please report if any abandoned cars are seen or anything else that would help locate Dawn," said her cousin, Lynette (Grahn) Taylor, who lives in Deerwood.
Although several air and ground searches were conducted last fall, authorities and family members found no sign of Carlson or her vehicle, a black 2001 Mercury Sable four-door sedan with a dent on the passenger-side door.
"She has not made contact with family, has not used her cellphone, medical card, or even tried to access her bank accounts since she was last seen. No one has any clue as to what happened to her," Taylor said.
