The description of the victim very closely describes Charlene Elaine Barrios

Ms. Barrios is not listed in NamUs. However, she is listed in Charley Project, DoeNetwork, and the CADOJ website.

The comparisons are very consistent to UP1196.

Charlene had a tattoo, and scars on her leg and knee; however, the description of the remains as "extremely charred" (per DoeNetwork) would likely preclude assessment of any tattoos, scars, etc.

I created a new MP casefile (MP 26335) for Charlene, and sent an email to Michael Nance to see if a comparison can be made.

Not to mention, Charlene wasn't reported missing for two years after her disappearance. Based on her LKA date, it doesn't appear that anyone knows precisely when she vanished, meaning she could have actually disappeared closer to the December date of the UID discovery. Nice find, Carl.

The MP casefile that I entered for Charlene Barrios is now published.

It looks like DNA is available for both the MP and UP. Hopefully, we can now get an answer on this one. She looks like a pretty strong possible for this UID, IMO.

Still only one exclusion.
