FL - Larisa Macriello, 44, Miami, 3 June 2013
John Paul Garcia, 45, was arrested Thursday. Miami-Dade police said Garcia killed Larissa Macriello, who vanished in June 2013.
An arrest report claims $40,000 was transferred from Macriello's bank account to Garcia's twice on the same day...
Detectives said they also used cellphone records to link the two before Macriello disappeared.
Police said he had a romantic relationship with 44-year old Larissa Macriello, who he is accused of killing. Meanwhile, he was also living with his common law wife.
According to police, Macriello was reported missing by her brother on June 18, 2013, though she hadn't been seen or heard from by family members since June 3, 2013...
Garcia voluntarily met with homicide detectives Thursday and gave "several conflicting statements that were disproven by evidence discovered throughout the investigation," the report said.
Larisa's remains have still not been found.

She was last seen at a house that she rented just off of Northwest 98th Street and 32nd Avenue. Her landlord was the last person who saw her. Her brother reported her missing 15 days after June 3rd after nobody had heard from her and her family noticed large deposits and withdrawals from her Bank of America bank account..
Garcia appeared in bond court Friday. Prosecutors allege that Garcia had used the victim's debit card at several Bank of America locations in South Florida. These transactions were caught by surveillance cameras. Some of these transactions actually occurred after the woman had been reported missing. On top of that, both the suspect's and the victim's cell phones were allegedly pinging cell phone towers near the home of the suspect...
The judge... found there was enough evidence for probable cause, so she ordered him to be held without bond pending his trial.

Video of the Miami-Dade Police interrogation of Garcia, and the moment he was confronted by his wife, Annalie Rivero, were obtained by NBC 6.
"You think I'm capable of murder?" Garcia asks his wife in the video. "I don't know, you've been lying to me for years," Rivero replies. Police say Macriello was Garcia's mistress for years, which he denied to his wife...
"I didn't do anything to that girl, she's missing, she's probably dead. They're telling me that I killed her, they arrested me for the f@#$ing murder, I haven't killed anybody," he said.

The body of Larissa Macriello remains missing, but prosecutors still convinced a Miami-Dade jury that her ex-lover was to blame for her murder.
