How odd for a suspect to fly from a country where he was effectively out of reach, back to Sydney where he could be - and was - arrested.

The body was discovered by police last month after residents made a parking complaint about the vehicle.

Residents said the car was damaged and had aluminium foil over its number plates.

Post-mortem tests have so far failed to identify the man.

They've named the suspect and the deceased:

Zhen Fang, 36, was arrested at Sydney airport yesterday morning after arriving from China and charged with murder that evening.

Police allege Fang murdered Ting Huang at Lidcombe between August 31 and September 11, according to court documents.

A man who stabbed his friend to death, wrapped his body in a doona, and stuffed it into a car boot has been found guilty of murder.

Zhen Fang, 38, had admitted to killing Ting Huang in 2014, but the jury had to determine whether he was suffering from a substantial impairment of mind at the time to reduce his culpability from murder to manslaughter.

Killer Zhen Fang, who murdered his friend while in an ice-fuelled frenzy and then wrapped the man’s body in a Chanel doona cover and stuffed it in a car boot, has been jailed for 14 years.
