Coastguards answer call, find man in bubble all at sea

When Miami coastguards answered a distress call Saturday, they found an exhausted, disorientated Reza Baluchi floating inside an inflatable bubble on the ocean. He asked for directions to Bermuda.

Fortunately, coastguards took him to hospital instead, where he is recovering nicely.

What was the BBC production that featured a person imprisoned on a 'mystery' island who tried to escape in a bubble - that's what this reminds me of.....hope they do a mental health eval while he's there. MOO

Wow. Talk about not thinking things through. I stupidly went in one of those things after my kids begged me to. LOL

You get really dizzy, really freakin hot cuz the sun magnifies through the clear plastic, and it is stuffy. I cant imagine bouncing around in the ocean.

I think the hospital will do a mental check on him, it was clearly a danger to himself (what he did). Not to mention the fact the Coast Guard had to rescue him. He would never have made it to Bermuda!!
