She was another victim of the Sunset Strip Serial Murders. The suspect, Douglas Clark, was put to death.

    (Per NCMEC)
On August 26, 1980, the skeletal remains of an unidentified female were found in the vacant lot of an oil field located approximately .6 miles north of 25121 Sierra Highway in Newhall, California (Los Angeles County). Based on the condition of the remains, it is believed she had been deceased less than 1 year prior to discovery. She had light brown to blonde hair that was approximately 8 inches in length. The decedent had pierced ears and was found wearing one yellow metal ¾ inch hoop earring as well as a red zip-up sweatshirt. The decedent had a healed craniotomy on the left parietal area of her head. She also had 4 fillings in her teeth. The reconstruction featured above is an artist’s rendering of what the Jane Doe may have looked like. Anyone with information should contact the Los Angeles County Coroner, reference case number 80-10981.

Thank you Carl! I am wondering if she could be Kimberly Kahler. https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/6251/5/ Surely since they are so close in timing/location they have been compared?

Both Kimberly and the UID are in CODIS. So if they were a match, there probably would have been a hit.

I thought the UID had no DNA, Kimberly has DNA -- UID has dentals - Kimberly no dentals?

Slightly off topic, but Douglas Clark is still alive AFAIK.

They should have said he was sentenced to death.

The following people have been ruled out as being this decedent:
First Name Last Name Year of Birth State LKA
    Cheryl Wyant 1964 California

    New doe link- http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1225ufca.html

And all three listed sites in the top post now have Estimated Age: 15-20 years old listed

I'm not sure anything else has been changed but thought it was worth the bump.

This girl, Cecile Frances Moch is not on any of the missing persons sites; however, she is still missing out of Santa Barbara County according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's department. She is also listed on the Walker County TX Sheriff's rule-out list for their 1980 Walker County Jane Doe (though not on WCJD's NamUs rule-out list).

She attended Rolling Hills High School in Rolling Hills Estates CA - Class of 1978.

According to the SBSD, her stats are as follows.

    DOB: 17-Sep-1960
    Date of Last Contact: 07-Aug-1980.
    Age LKA: 19
    Race: White
    Height: 5 feet 3 inches
    Weight: 100 pounds

There is no indication of the circumstances of her disappearance.

She was LKA less than a month before these remains were found. Her age is about right, but her listed height is a little short compared to the Jane Doe. Her hair color is about right, though her hair in the photo is longer than 8 inches. Maybe she got a haircut after her senior year in HS.

She doesn't look like the jane doe in a general sense. But her facial features do align up pretty cleanly to this facial reconstruction:

Also, the Jane Doe is said to have a healed craniotomy on the left parietal area of her skull. The parietal area is the side of the skull just above the temple. Look at Cecilia's left parietal area. there *might* be some sort of anomaly right there.

a craniotomy is usually performed to remove a brain tumour, hoping that this medical detail could help to ID this girl, they cannot be many 15-20 yo who had this type of surgery performed!
it makes you wonder with unidentified MPs, does the family searched for them, gave up on them? so many questions and almost no answers
how do they know she was a victim of douglas clark?

Her body was found in close proximity to another one of his victims, and a bullet that matched one of his guns was found lodged in her skull.

It isn't likely, but does anyone think Diane Dye could be a possible identity since both cases are from California? The face shapes don't look exact, yet because the UID was skeletonized, there is less to go on when making reconstructions.

    Cali Doe was Tammy Jo

My best guess would be that the Jane Doe was likely a runaway or a local young adult, given the circumstances that she was possibly killed by a prostitute killer. Many of the MP cases are believed to have been abducted (such as Rachel Trlica and Lisa White) and the Jane Doe probably left home willingly if she was a runaway.
