Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Manuel lived with his 82-year-old girlfriend, Mary Stacks, most of the time. His home is just a few houses down from where his son lives.
"He walked home. I watched him until he was out of sight," Stacks said.
Mary Stacks' son, Tony, is a suspect, according to investigators.
“They said it ain't looking good for me 'cause I was the last one who seen him. And I had an argument with him about tools," he said.
Stacks says he got the wrenches back, but that he did not kill Manuel.

Investigators say the girlfriend's two sons were the last to see Manuel alive.

"We absolutely suspect foul play. I mean, he had no means to get anywhere...any great distance on his own," said Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance.

Sheriff Lance says the two people who last saw Carl Manuel alive is his girlfriend's sons, Tony and Ted Stacks. Witnesses tell us Manuel got into an argument with the brothers right before he disappeared.

Still listed as missing. No MSM updates and no obituary found for this gentleman.
