When Officer Ben Hall stopped Michigan mom Alexis DeLorenzo in Emmett Township, she thought she was in a whole lot of trouble. Her five-year-old daughter wasn't in a child seat. Alexis was straightforward about what she'd done, explaining she'd fallen on hard times recently and knew it was wrong.
Officer Hall could have given her a ticket. Instead, he directed Alexis to drive to Walmart, took her and daughter inside, and bought a child seat for them. Officer Hall says it's the best $50 he ever spent and he's 'just paying it forward'. Alexis is very grateful, and hopes to do some paying it forward herself, when she's back on her feet.
