"Toronto police are looking for the public’s help after a pair of sexual assaults in the city’s downtown on Saturday.

In the first incident, a woman was entering the St. Patrick TTC subway station, at University Avenue and Dundas Street West, at approximately 5:42 p.m.

It’s alleged an unknown male suspect approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her"

"The second incident happened about an hour later close to the Rogers Centre, near Front Street West and Spadina Avenue.

A 22-year-old woman passed the suspect while walking down a flight of stairs and continued south along Rees Street. Police say the victim was then violently attacked from behind and sexually assaulted.

The victim screamed and the suspect ran back towards Blue Jays Way".

" Officers said they’re not sure if it’s the same suspect in both cases. However, the suspect descriptions in both cases match.

The suspect is described as white, between 5’8-5’10 tall, with a medium build. He is between 18-24 years of age, with shaggy blond hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with grey graphics on it and blue jeans.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect from the photos or has any information is asked to call 416-808-5204 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477)."

"In the earlier attack, the suspect is described as between five feet, eight inches tall and five feet, ten inches tall with a medium build between 18 and 24 years of age. He has shaggy blond hair and was wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt with grey graphics and blue jeans.

The suspect in the second attack is described as five feet, six inches tall, short blond or dirty blond hair, clean shaven, wearing a dark sweater or hoodie.

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect, or suspects, and are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Women travelling by foot in the area should be vigilant, police said."

Some things that are not great, but could be blamed on youthful misadventure which is one thing, but if a youth commits an aggressive sexual attack on a stranger, that is a sick puppy, imo who will only get worse.

That's exactly why the legislation needs to be revisited. There is a great difference between addled thinking that leads to mischief and quite another when there is violence .... there has to be a line drawn between stupid kid stunts and protecting the public at large.
