The man who murdered a Tacoma prostitute nearly 10 years ago was finally convicted of the crime.

Detectives weren't able to identify any suspects during the original investigation, and the case was soon transferred to the Tacoma Police Department's Cold Case Unit.

After nearly a decade of silence, police say Farmer's passenger on the night of the murder, Dusty Titus, admitted to being being in the truck when Tirado was killed.
A Tacoma police detective and an FBI agent arranged an interview with Titus, which is when he identified Farmer as the shooter.
