PETERBOROUGH-- Police dont know what happened to Lise Fredette but are really concerned, based on what they found in her driveway.
Her glasses and house key were found on the ground near her vehicle, explains Peterborough-Lakefied detective staff sergeant Lynne Buehler.
Ms Fredette was reported missing Thursday (Nov. 13). Police say her co-workers at Walmart called family after she failed to show up at work. Family went to check on Ms Fredettes well-being but she wasnt at her Bensfort Road home.
Police had set up a command post at the scene and forensics officers searched the backyard of a home and canvassed nearby houses.
They also collected evidence, which appeared to be blood, around a Toyota RAV4 parked in a driveway at 2533 Bensfort Rd.
There is a substance in the driveway but we are not prepared to speculate at this point to what it is, says Det. Buehler.
...Ms Fredette is described as five-feet four-inches, 120 pounds, with short blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a quarter-length black down-filled winter jacket, dark pants, and black shoes. She had a dark-coloured purse and a blue lunch pail with her.
As well, police are looking for help identifying an older model blue Dodge Caravan van, with a heavy-set male driver, in the area of Bensfort Road and Maxwell Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 12). Anyone with information is urged to call police at 705-876-1122, ext. 555, Crimer Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or email
