NY - Wai Kuen Kwok, 61, shoved in front of subway, Bronx, 16 Nov 2014

Police have charged a Bronx man in connection with the grisly death of a 62-year-old Bronx man shoved in front of a subway train Sunday. Police announced Tuesday evening that Kevin Darden, 34, was apprehended at approximately 6 p.m. and hours later was formally charged with the murder of 61-year-old Wai Kuen Kwok...

'It’s crazy how sick some people are to just shove someone onto the track, kill someone and then just go on with their day like nothing happened,' local resident Allen Sneed told reporters...

Darden has more than 30 prior arrests on his record including charges for robbery, assault, and drugs. He was last arrested on Sunday, Nov. 9, after allegedly pickpocketing someone in Manhattan.

With 30 arrests, he has to be kept off the street. So with the November 9th pickpocketing, this is his second arrest so far this month. A clear menace to society, and mentally ill as well. He needs to be in a state prison with a strong mental health program.

The 34-year-old man who allegedly pushed a stranger in front of a moving Bronx subway train two months ago, killing him as his wife looked on in horror, was indicted on murder and manslaughter charges, prosecutors said.

Kevin Darden was arraigned in Bronx Supreme Court on the grand jury indictment and remanded without bail. He pleaded not guilty to the charges...

If convicted, Darden faces up to 25 years in prison.

A career criminal will spend 18 years behind bars after he admitted Tuesday he pushed an innocent father into the path of an oncoming Bronx subway car.

Kevin Darden, 36, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for shoving 61-year-old Wai Kuen Kuok to his death at the 167th St. station.
