Shawn D. Miller, a Citigroup Inc managing director who was global head of environmental and social risk management, was found dead in his New York apartment after suffering a neck wound, police said...

Investigators didn’t find weapons or signs of forced entry, police said. The building’s doorman found Miller after his boyfriend said he was unable to reach him, police said.

Top Citigroup financier Shawn Miller was found dead in the tub at his Manhattan apartment with slashes to his throat and arms, Tuesday. First coroner's report has been inconclusive and police say his death is 'suspicious'.

A man was seen visiting Miller's apartment over the weekend, staying overnight, and after he left, Miller asked reception to ban him from re-entering the building. He did return around 15 minutes later, and was not allowed to enter.

A man who identified himself as Miller's boyfriend, said he last spoke to him Monday night, and alerted police when he couldn't reach him Tuesday.

One article I read somewhere made it sound like it was suicide but the article at your link certainly sounds like it was a homicide. wonder who the other guy was that left and tried to come back.

Apparently, LE finally found the knife when they removed the body from the tub:

Shawn D. Miller, 42, who traveled the world for Citigroup as one of its top environmental policy experts, sliced his neck and wrists with a knife inside his home at 120 Greenwich St, the sources said...

Investigators, however, believe the death is a suicide because of the nature of the wounds and the fact a knife was found under his body, sources said.
