A dog who regularly jumped from the window of his owners ground-floor flat jumped from their new apartment six floors up.
The dog was saved however when it landed on a neighbour's balcony three floors below.
Owners Udo and Angela Baecker, both 29, from Cologne called the fire brigade after hearing their pet boxer whining from the balcony below but could not get him themselves as the tenants were away on holiday.
"We've only been in the new apartment for a week, but thought TJ would have got used to it after climbing up all the stairs. We never thought he'd try his usual trick of jumping from the window to get into the garden," said Angela.
