A 12-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy have been placed under arrest after a mother told police they tried to snatch her baby while she walked home from the GO station in Scarborough's Guildwood neighbourhood late Thursday night.

The woman told police she was approached by two young people some time after 11 p.m. Thursday on Livingston Road. The 25-year-old mother was kicked and punched but was able to keep her 21-month old baby from being taken by the suspects. She was robbed of her backpack in the process but police say they were able to recover some of the stolen property shortly afterwards."
 
"In a message on Twitter, police said the mother "turtled" around her daughter, hunching over to protect her during the attack.

They were unable to kidnap the baby, but robbed the woman before running off, police said.

Police found two suspects around midnight with the help of a canine unit, and some of the stolen property was recovered".

They also allegedly punched the mother in the stomach and hit her with some sort of sharp object!

That is pretty messed up. Why steal a baby? In this case, juveniles.

The boy’s next court appearance is Jan. 28 at 9:30 a.m.

The girl remains in custody and is to appear in court Wednesday."

court date is 28th this week -- want to keep this in forefront -- if they are assaulting adults at this age and attempting to abduct children, whoa, wait until they are bigger and older KWIM?

I wouldn't want that violent monster in school with my kid. He better be in a home study program. Wth.
 
Weird. Where in the heck are the parents/guardians of these two? Were they street kids? What in the world do they want with a baby?? Were they going to sell it?
 
Just to show how brutal and disrespectful some female teens can be these days, this is a recent video of two young girls in Brampton, Ont. beating up a (very calm, controlled) female LE.

I was thinking the same thing. Why would he be allowed to go to school? I hope they mean home schooling only.

My guess is that he could already be enrolled in some sort of academic diversion program.
