Royals: "damp squibs submerged in a bucket of cringe"

Mr and Mrs Bland! Disappointment in Kate and Wills, whose US tour proves how dull they've become (Daily Mail)

    ◦ After their fairytale wedding, hopes were high for new Team Cambridge
    ◦ But they fail to exhibit the grandeur and dignity the monarchy demands
    ◦ They smile and nod as they cut ribbons and accept posies like royal robot
    ◦ And they dazzled the U.S like damp squibs submerged in bucket of cringe
    ◦ They were even outshone by Jay Z and Beyonce when they met at a game
    ◦ The pair appear to have crossed the fine line between royalty and celebrity
The story and pictures at link above.

A story about Prince William meeting a young performer at a youth development program whom he gave his cell number and promised to help with his career.

    Doink!

    ---
William fussed with his blazer buttons and made appeals on behalf of the very important cause to which he is devoted; saving elephants and stopping the ivory trade.

It might be very noble of him, but I do wish he would instead highlight causes that really mean something to British people, things that affect their daily lives.

And it does seem rather hypocritical to try to save one species of animal, while the royals gaily blast game birds and stags at every opportunity.

Well, here is a link with some pics from Prince George's Christmas portrait shoot, to fluff up the royal view: (omg, he is ADORBS!)

I don't believe the royals hunt endangered species, such as the elephant.

Prince William and Princess Kate are barely in their 20s. I think it's a little soon to pass judgment on them.

Actually they're both 32 but I think it's probably unfair to blame them for acting boring and safe in the public. The royals aren't exactly brought up to be controversial and shocking.
