Woman Asks for Help to Find Missing Husband
A woman is losing hope of finding her husband. He went missing near Houston more than a month ago. Sandra Vargas said she is not getting any help from local law enforcement. Jose Eliud Vargas disappeared last month.

"I just don't know what happened to him," Vargas said.

Her husband was last seen Nov. 9. She hasn't heard from him since.

"For him not to get a hold of us, I think something bad happened to him," she said.

Vargas said she called the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department soon after her husband went missing. She filled out a missing person's report.

"By Friday, they found the truck, but we didn't know what happened to him," she said.

Vargas went to the Houston area the next day to pick up the truck and her husband's belongings.

"Last week, the detective told me that I had to go do a report over there in Harris County. So, I go all the way over there and then they tell me, ‘no, you can't make another report,'" Vargas asid.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."
