'A woman called Placer County Sheriffs deputies on Nov. 25 to report an odor coming from an abandoned storage locker in the 100 block of Sherwood Court in Colfax. She had just purchased the contents of the storage unit at auction....'
Police soon discovered the body of one infant, quickly followed by another. They are not sure in the remains are of infants or fetuses at this time.
'Placer County Sheriffs detectives are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the bodies. Anyone with information about the abandoned storage unit is asked to call the detective at (530) 889-7894.
Anyone with information who wishes to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 is urged to contact Placer County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-923-8191.
