"Since her leaving, there have been reported sightings of Lori Lee Kasprick in the Jasper Ave area of Edmonton and the Portage area of Winnipeg. But, Coleman adds, it is unknown where she may have intended to go or if she was with anyone.

Lori Lee Kasprick is described as a First Nations woman with long, black straight hair and had crooked teeth. She was 5’11” tall and had a slender build. She also had a large scar above her eyes."

Thanks for the unexpected update!
This part was sad and haunting..

'When their father died in 2006, he was still carrying Lori’s school ID card in his wallet.

“I couldn’t even tell you today what she would look like. I probably could walk right by on the street and I wouldn’t even know it was her,” Rick says, sitting in the kitchen with his wife, Lori’s photograph and school ID card on the table in front of him.

“You’d get an eerie feeling, I think,” Bonnie says.

“But how would you know?” he asks".

I saw a post about a woman found in America she looks so much like Lori. Mole on her chest, and possibly even a scar on her forhead...... Wonder if this could be her??

Lengthy article.

"Lost girl: Lori Kasprick vanished as a teen. But it was nearly 40 years before she was officially declared missing

Jana G. Pruden, Postmedia News | June 23, 2015"
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/c...rs-before-she-was-officially-declared-missing

"After so many years Rick knows Lori’s face primarily from the two pictures he has of her: One is a school photo. In it, she has a shy, gap-toothed grin and her hair is long and flowing, parted down the centre in the way that was popular at the time. The second photo is her 1975-1976 identification from Mundare School. In that picture, she is serious, unsmiling. Rick notices how her birthdate has been changed from 1961 to 1958, making her three years older than she really was. He remembers Donny Osmond posters on the wall of her bedroom. There is not much else.

For years, Rick has watched for his sister. Often, when he passed a police station, he went inside to ask about her. He talked to the Red Cross, to social workers he knew. After the Internet arrived, he searched for her there.

There were moments they thought they found her: A woman who called in the middle of the night saying she was Rick’s sister turned out to be a half-sister who had been put up for adoption. They found a Lori Kasprick in Ontario, but it was another family. One aunt thought she saw Lori on television, another relative thought they saw her at the bus depot, but it was never anything that could be confirmed.

At one point Rick considered hiring a private detective, but it was too expensive. The detective told him it was especially hard to find women because they marry and change their names."

Lori was apparently a contender for Lori Kennedy, a " mystery" woman..

http://www.edmontonjournal.com/Inves...659/story.html

"EDMONTON - It seems like an almost perfect fit: There is a woman lost, a woman found.

Both are named Lori, tall with dark hair, and slight gaps between their top front teeth. Lori Kasprick was last seen in Alberta and Manitoba in the mid-1970s. Lori Kennedy appeared in Texas in 1988.

But it appears the mysteries of the two women are not so tidily solved.

“This can’t be ruled out, but early indications are they’re probably not the same,” said Social Security Administration special agent Joseph Velling, who has been working on the Lori Kennedy case in the United States for several years. “That won’t be able to be confirmed until the law enforcement agencies compare their data and it is ruled out officially.”

After her death in Texas in 2010, it was discovered Kennedy wasn’t who she claimed to be. She is considered by American authorities to be an unidentified “Jane Doe.” Kasprick was last seen by her family in 1976."

Hmmm, Lori missing Sept 1976 - lines up somewhat with 'Septic Tank Sam' found in Tofield Alberta (50 kms away) in April 1977. 'Sam' had been deceased for 'several' months.

Family issues? Lori seeing someone her family (parent(s)?) did not approve of due to a 10+ year age gap? Just a thought.
<bbm>

I wondered about that too Woodland. I don't think we have a birthdate for Lori, but her age is reported as both 14 and 15. If she was 15, adding 3 years could have made someone think she was 18. Age of majority in Alberta was reduced from 21 to 18 in 1971.
