Saw him earlier this year at the New Orleans Heritage and Jazz Festival . He was one of my favorites when growing up.. And as an adult .. fabulous as always . This was his play list http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/eric-c...-23c338e3.html

Sad news - he's one of my all time favorites.
I wanted to tell the book thief many things, about beauty and brutality. But what could I tell her about those things that she didn't already know? I wanted to explain that I am constantly overestimating and underestimating the human race-that rarely do I ever simply estimate it. I wanted to ask her how the same thing could be so ugly and so glorious, and its words and stories so damning and brilliant.

I never heard of him before Woodstock but, with the possible exception of the Who, he was the best thing there. RIP Joe.
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.
