I will never understand how anyone could ever hurt their own child. I weep for this poor, innocent, precious baby boy.

I was wondering the same thing. At first my thought was she was attempting to protect her baby. However, does it look to others that the injury is several days old? If I read the article correctly, the father was charged days earlier than the momma? I want to believe this precious child's mother loved him and tried to protect him.

My heart goes out to this precious child, so many of us would have helped him if we had known. So horrific.
 
Jeannette Kees is still reeling after the death of her 9-month-old grandson, Corey Kees. But she insists that her son is innocent.

Kees says she sensed something was going wrong and she wishes she would have trusted that instinct.

Court testimony showed DHS had removed the baby, Cory Kees, twice to investigate possible abuse, but returned the child because there was no proof the injuries were caused by abuse. Police also say Stricklin changed her story several times

CPS had removed a nine month old baby TWICE for abuse and returned him, and now he's dead? Once again a child let down by too many people.
