The suspect Mirsad Hamidovic jumped up in the air and came down on the victim's chest and the victim's head may have hit the window sill," according to court documents. "The suspect said the victim was on his back on the ground when the suspect jumped off the bed up in the air and came down on the victim's chest with his forearms in front of him. He did this twice. The suspect stated the victim was coughing up blood and he cleaned the blood off the victim's mouth in a panic. Hamidovic said the boy lost consciousness and he violently shook the boy, sending his head and arms flailing about.

Family of 2-year-old killed say killer’s sentence isn’t long enough

Mirsad Hamidovic, convicted of second-degree murder, received 23 years behind bars. But it’s a sentence some of the victim’s relative say isn’t long enough.

One-by-one relatives of Estrada told the judge how his murder broke their hearts and changed their lives forever.

“No child, especially a baby, should go through what we went through. He didn’t have a chance to help himself, to protect himself,” said Sylvia Oroczo, the toddler’s great-grandmother.
