GUILTY PA - John Corcoran charged with child rape, arson, Delaware County

A former Darby Township firefighter awaiting trial for arson is now charged with 161 counts of child sexual abuse, including the rape of a child and the production and dissemination of child *advertiser censored*.

Authorities said John Corcoran IV, 20, befriend children ranging in age from 8 to 14, then sexually assaulted them for more than two years at his parents’ home on North Ridgeway Avenue, in the showers at the YMCA in Ridley Township and at the Swedish Cabin in Upper Darby. Most of his victims were boys, although he abused several girls so he could photograph the abuse and use it to lure the male victims...

Corcoran is currently awaiting trial on arson and related charges for allegedly setting fire to three vacant homes. He was arrested in August on the arson charges and was out on bail while some of the alleged child sexual abuse occurred, authorities said.
