WA - James Griffin, 60. Olympic Hot Springs. 22 Dec 2014The body of missing hiker James Thomas Griffin was found Sunday in Olympic National Park’s Elwha River Valley. Griffin, 60, was last seen by other hikers on Dec. 22 at Olympic Hot Springs. The Port Angeles resident was reported missing on Dec. 24 when he did not arrive at a Christmas Eve dinner he was scheduled to attend.
Griffin’s remains were found by a search dog team in terrain the park’s staff described as “very steep, rugged and densely-forested.”... An investigation at the scene showed no indications of foul play or wildlife interactions, according to the park.

RIP James Thomas Griffin. I'm glad he was found so his family can lay him to rest. It seems like there have been quite a few missing/deceased hikers in WA State lately.

Brother still has questions about hiker's death in Olympic National Park
Robert L. Griffin still has questions surrounding the death of his younger brother, an experienced hiker whose body was found Jan. 25 in Olympic National Park a month after he went missing.
Griffin, 71, of DeWitt, Mich., said Friday he derives a certain degree of solace from a recently completed autopsy that showed James T. Griffin, 60, died from hypothermia in a hiking fatality that's been ruled an accident, as authorities had suspected...
...“It is really odd,” Griffin's brother said Friday in a telephone interview with the Peninsula Daily News.
