Please give this man a raise! What dedication!

Each day, James Robertson, 56, walks 21 miles each day round trip just to get to his job. No matter what the weather, Robertson has been hiking it to work ever since his car broke down 10 years ago, he tells the Detroit Free Press.

I had to watch both videos -- what a role model this man is! Wow!!!

I feel like such a wuss.......Bravo Mister -- am so happy people are stepping up to the plate and he's been getting funding and a new car!!!

I hope the money raised is enough for him to buy himself a little apartment nearer work - so he can still walk there, just quicker!

21 miles a day is far too much, but I used to walk four to six miles each day with my dog, and am really feeling the difference now I don't have to do it. But then, I regard driving as a trial of endurance...

The Detroit man whose story of walking over 20 miles to and from work daily spurred hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations and a new car has been moved into a new, temporary housing arrangement.

"He and a couple of people came to me on Monday and he stated that he had concerns about his safety," Detroit Police Capt. Aric Tosqui told ABC News of James Robertson. "We went into action.
