A bloody car and missing body lead to murder charges for an Outlook man. "At this point, we have just no idea where the body would be," said Yakima County Sheriff's Detective Sergeant Mike Russell.

But deputies believe 24-year-old Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma is dead. Investigators say he drove with a friend from Oregon to Granger to sell his Mustang to 18-year-old Yoset Dominguez-Serrano. The friend saw the two men get in a car and drive off. Ledezma hasn't been seen since.

Deputies say the whole car sale was a setup. Court documents say Ledezma was facing child rape charges. His alleged victim is the suspect's sister.

The man was facing rape charges in Yakima County Superior Court after allegedly impregnating a 13-year-old relative of the suspect, according to court records...

Later Tuesday, deputies were asked to check on an abandoned vehicle near a Zillah-area orchard. The green Ford Mustang had a broken window and a significant amount of blood on the passenger seat, detectives said. A fired bullet was also found inside during a later search. Officials say they are still searching for Hernandez-Ledezma’s body.

Dominguez-Serrano appeared in Yakima County Superior Court Thursday where bail was set at $1 million. He is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Dominguez-Serrano admitted to tricking Hernandez-Ledezma by offering to buy his car, according to court documents.

Dominguez-Serrano reportedly told investigators he intended to turn Hernandez-Ledezma into Sunnyside police. He said a fight broke out when he revealed his intent, and he fired two shots into Hernandez-Ledezma, killing him, say officials.

He claimed to not remember where he put the body or what he did with the gun.

A DNA analysis has confirmed that a body found near Zillah in September is that of a 24-year-old Oregon man believed killed in the Lower Valley earlier this year, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma’s decomposing body was found by a hiker in a ravine near an orchard in the 3000 block of Cheyne Road. An autopsy showed he had been shot in the back of the head at close range...

An autopsy showed he had been shot in the back of the head at close range, the Yakima County Coroner’s Office reported earlier.

Sounds like an execution rather than a "fight broke out" as explained by the suspect....IMO.

When are fathers and brothers going to learn that the victim needs you for your love and support WAY more than he/she needs you to kill the person who violated them?

A man suspected of luring a man to Granger and then killing him in February appeared in court Monday.

Court papers say Yoset Dominguez-Serrano shot and killed 24-year-old Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma in February 2015.

Dominguez-Serrano was arraigned Monday on amended charges.

He's now charged with both first degree felony murder and first degree premeditated murder.

There's a trial date scheduled for the end of next month.

I'll just say I'm glad I won't be on the jury. With rapist getting out in less than 6 months...nope. And as we've seen in too many cases, they'll repeat the rapes over and over and over until finally caught again. Or become serial killers as been the case in two recent cases here.

I know killing is wrong. I cannot say what I would do if someone raped a small child of mine. If I was guaranteed they would never get out of prison...but until then...

Outlook man pleads guilty to 2015 murder of Oregon man - February 3rd

Yoset Dominguez-Serrano, 20, pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma, who was shot in the back of the head at close range in February 2015.

At the time, Hernandez-Ledezma was wanted by police for allegedly impregnating Dominguez-Serrano’s 13-year-old relative.

Police say Dominguez-Serrano said he had planned to turn in Hernandez-Ledezma to Sunnyside police before a fight in the car resulted in the shooting death. But he said he couldn’t remember where he left the body or gun, police said.

A tentative sentencing date has been set for March 3.

Under standard sentencing ranges, Dominguez-Serrano faced 20 to 26 years for first-degree murder. As part of the plea agreement entered Friday, prosecutors recommended he serve 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors also agreed to dismiss a secondary assault charge, as well as a firearm enhancement that would have added five years to the sentence.

Outlook man sentenced to 20 years for Lower Valley murder

The sentence against Yoset Dominguez-Serrano was imposed by Judge Richard Bartheld in Yakima County Superior Court. He pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

The victim, 24-year-old Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma of Oregon, was shot in the back of the head at close range in February 2015. His body was later found in the Lower Valley.

At the time, Hernandez-Ledezma was wanted by police for allegedly impregnating Dominguez-Serrano’s 13-year-old relative.

Bartheld noted Dominguez-Serrano's claim to detectives that he killed Hernandez-Ledezma to protect the honor of his family.

However, Bartheld emphasized that Dominguez-Serrano had no right to appoint himself as "judge, jury and executioner" in the case.
