Rescuers save horse trapped in bathtub

I don't know how this horse got itself stuck in a tub, where in the US it happened, or the name of the owner.

It is just a brief video from Associated Press, of the rescue. It's worth watching at the link though, if you're fond of horses.

Actually...it was in Sacramento. I can see the name on the back of the firefighter's shirt.

    It's a pony, not a horse, I think?

Officially, what's the difference between a pony and a horse, anyone?

Awwww. Were they using the bathtub as a trough, I wonder?

We have horses, and I have asked my daughter the differences between horses and ponies (she's the horse person, not me).....I think they're just....smaller. I used to think they were baby horses lol. But they are not . Those are foals, as I'm sure we all know.

    Taller than 14.2 feet? It's a horse. Smaller? It's a pony.

I mistook an old, grumpy Shetland pony for a baby horse ( sorry, foal ) once. It bit me for feeding it a carrot. Horse bites really hurt!

Think Tulessa's having fun with me. Big Jake in Michigan holds the world record and he's only about 7 feet tall, if I have my conversions right? Weighs 2,600 lbs!

I think she means hands, not feet? Horses are measured in hands. My Belgian is 18 hands.

14.2 - 58 inches - in horses considered the line between Pony (under 14.2) and horse height. Typical size of many Mustangs, although a recent infusion of outside blood in some herds produces larger animals now.
