A Gainesville woman missing since Monday has the Alachua County Sheriff's Office asking for any information about her and her possible whereabouts.

Keyanta Catrice Williams, 39, of 1809 SW 69th Way, was last seen early Monday morning. Her boyfriend, with whom she lives, is in jail on a grand theft charge for reportedly driving her car when he had been forbidden from doing so, said sheriff's spokesman Art Forgey.

Charged with grand theft auto is Kelvin Renard Bryant, 41, who lived with Williams.

On Sunday night, Williams left her house to meet a truck driver with whom she communicated on a dating website. She returned home about 5 a.m. Monday, and she and Bryant argued, according to Bryant's arrest report.

Williams told her children she was going to get gas before driving them to school. She left and a short time later Bryant said he was going to the store and left on foot, the report states. Williams, Bryant and Bryant's Dodge Journey were not seen the rest of the day. Williams' mother reported her missing Monday night.

Bryant's sister asked him (Bryant) about Williams and was told that Williams had gotten out of the car in Ocala.

Forgey said detectives have spoken with the truck driver, who told authorities that he and Williams dined and talked before she went home. Forgey said he has an alibi for the time Williams went missing.

Bryant has not been cooperative.

Family members of a missing woman and relatives of the boyfriend with whom she was last seen told Alachua County sheriff’s deputies they were equally concerned about what transpired after the couple argued Monday morning...

On Tuesday night, ASO deputies got a call from Bryant’s sister, Ruth Bryant, who told them her brother was at her house with Williams’ car on the Putnam County side of Hawthorne. The woman told deputies that, after speaking with her brother, she thought something was wrong.

“Concerned for herself, (Ruth Bryant) left her home and while traveling to a family member’s residence, she located an ACSO deputy to report her brother’s whereabouts,” the report states.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s office is currently searching for a mother of four who has been missing for the last two weeks. The family of Keyanta Williams is begging for information in the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Alachua County mother of four. For Irma Dorsey, the mother of Williams, the last two weeks without her daughter have been unbearable. 39-year-old Williams left her home to put gas in her car and had planned to return to pick up her child for school. She has not been seen or heard from since.

"I am in so much pain. My grandchildren are in pain. The family, the friends, we are in deep pain," says Dorsey.

Police say Williams was last seen leaving her house Monday, Feb. 9, driving her 2010 Black Dodge Journey.

Williams’s boyfriend, Kelvin Bryant, had been staying with Williams and according to police, he left the home at the same time.

Deputies say two days after she was reported missing, Bryant was found driving her car more than an hour away in Putnam County.

Bryant has been arrested for grand theft after he was spotted driving her 2010 Dodge Journey.

The family of Keyanta Williams says it is frustrated with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office after details were released showing that the missing woman’s vehicle was found covered in blood.

Williams’ cousin, Orlando resident Kitsy Carey, said Thursday that ASO detectives have left her family in the dark.

“This has just been overwhelming,” Carey said. “We are still devastated that we don’t have anything besides a search for her.”

Sheriff Sadie Darnell said the 39-year-old Williams’ case is classified as a missing persons case with foul play suspected and dismissed reports that the case was a homicide or aggravated battery.

“Forensic testing is still ongoing and necessary to determine to whom the evidence may be connected,” Darnell said in a statement provided Thursday by her spokesman, Art Forgey. “I am factual in my assessments of any case and will not speculate regarding the outcome and or charges.”

ASO did not previously mention foul play in the case. A search warrant signed by Alachua County Circuit Court Judge Robert K. Groeb on Feb. 11 twice states ASO detectives were gathering evidence for the crimes of homicide, aggravated battery and kidnapping.

"We've got one person who could tell us exactly where she is, but he isn't talking," ASO spokesman Art Forgey said. Bryant is being held on $250,000 bond on a charge of grand theft auto for being in possession of Williams' vehicle.

On Tuesday morning, 10 volunteers from the group Texas EquuSearch and about 15 deputies searched through the palmettos, pines and gum trees for any clues in the case, which is still considered a missing persons investigation with suspicion of foul play.

"Until we get a forensics analysis, we really don't know," Forgey said. "A whole variety of things could have happened, and we can't be left to assume."

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Ten members of Texas Equusearch, a non-profit organization that has helped search for missing persons across North Central Florida, helped Alachua County Sheriff Deputies' efforts searching for 39-year-old Keyanta Williams.

ASO spokesperson, Art Forgey, says as long as volunteers are willing they will enlist their help.

The volunteers and 15 ASO deputies met to divide the search area where evidence from Williams and her boyfriend Kelvin Bryant's cell phones is now leading investigators.

"We are concentrating our search because we known for the cell phone to hit those towers," Forgey explains, "or an incoming call to hit those towers he was in the area."

Search parties walked along SR 26 from Orange Hall, near the intersection of SR 26 and SR 100 - checking ditches, bridges and the woods along the road.

The volunteers, who come from all parts of the state, say they are here to "help bring comfort to the family because they're devestated right now," search coordinator Harry Rogers says.

Forgey says with a search area spanning more than four counties, the agency is open to any extra help they can get.

The boyfriend of a Gainesville woman reported missing more than a month ago was charged Friday with first-degree murder by the Alachua County Grand Jury, according to court documents.

Kelvin Bryant, 41, already is in jail on a grand theft auto charge stemming from the Feb. 8 disappearance of his girlfriend, Keyanta Williams, 39. On Friday, the grand jury ruled there was enough evidence to charge him with her murder.

The case was deemed a missing persons investigation under suspicious circumstances by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.

Williams and Bryant got into an argument on Feb. 8, which led her to leave the home for the night and have dinner with a friend she met online. Williams returned to the home she shared with Bryant and her two children about 5 a.m. on Feb. 9 and the couple began to argue again, according to investigators.

Alachua State Attorney Bill Cervone though unusual, his office has enough evidence to bring a murder case against Bryant even though Williams’ body has not yet been found. Prosecutors faced a similar predicament in the indictment of Pedro Bravo, who was convicted last year in the death of Christian Aguilar. Bravo was re-indicted after Aguilar’s body was found, Cervone said.

Williams likely died from blunt force trauma, and if her body is found, the indictment against Bryant will be amended.

Kelvin Bryant reached a deal with prosecutors and was sentenced to 35 years in prison in the murder of 39-year-old Keyanta Williams...

The plea negotiation was worked out where Bryant would take law enforcement to Williams' body, and in exchange be allowed to plea to a second degree murder charge.
