Madison Ashton, a former escort and mistress of Sydney, Australia's 'Cardboard King', Richard Pratt, has lost her six-year battle for part of his estate. She's now left owing a legal bill reckoned to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, after judges ruled Ashton accepted a 'termination' payment of $150,000 in 2005, when their relationship ended. Richard Pratt died in 2009.
Ashton had claimed 'she would be given a $5 million trust for her two children, an allowance of $500,000 a year, $36,000 a year for accommodation and $30,000 a year for travel expenses.'
The only route of appeal against the judgment that she must pay all her own and the estate's legal costs now, is Australia's appeal court, but this is thought to be highly unlikely.
